The Stone Laboratory at Gibraltar Island is the Lake Erie teaching and research laboratory of the Ohio sea grant college program. Created in 1895 and located on Gibraltar Island in Put-In-Bay Harbor. Stone Laboratory is the nations freshwater biological field station and the island campus of the Ohio State University.
